Blemish Prone Skin.
Breakouts and blemishes are one of the most common skin problems that many people encounter at some point in their lives. Although common amongst teens, many adults are affected as well.
With healthy skin, just the right amount of sebum (oil) is produced to lock in moisture and protect the skin. However, hormones, stress and weak immunity, can all have an influence on your skins health. Although, these lifestyle conditions mess up the amount of oil produced, it can all be controlled and maintained with the proper skin care solutions.
Development of Breakouts.
When dead skin and oil build up under the skin's surface it is known as a whitehead. Once the pore opens on the surface, something known as oxidation occurs. This process causes the whitehead to turn black. The combination of extra oil and all those dead skin cells makes the perfect home for bacteria (specifically, P.acnes). This specific acne causing bacteria is always alive and present on the skin, but now that it has this perfect environment it begins to replicate and grow! (Gross, We know!)
What you can do.
All of us are different, some have "better" skin than others. And many, simply have genetically blemish-prone skin. This is not your fault, it's simply your skin overproducing oil or attracting too many environmental pollutants. There is simply nothing you can do about it!
What you can do is to do your due diligence and consistently maintain and provide your skin with the best care you possibly can. The key is to constantly clean and maintain a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria and new skin cells. With the right solutions, and a simple healthy skincare routine, problematic blemish-prone skin can be no problem of the past. Wash, Rinse, Repeat!
